DAWM is an independent contemporary clothing house based in Toronto, Canada.

The house is built around continuance. The name DAWM is connected to the Arabic root دَوْم / دوام: to continue, to remain, to persist.

Core line: Clothing for those who persist.

DAWM is being built as a long-term house rather than a sequence of disconnected products. Each release adds to a continuing body of work while the underlying identity remains consistent.

## House identity

DAWM communicates through restraint, repetition, proportion, material, language and form.

The house is contemporary, intentional, tactile, grounded, human and enduring.

Arabic language and Muslim cultural context inform parts of DAWM's worldview, including ideas of discipline, modesty, patience, conviction and persistence. These influences are part of the house's cultural vocabulary, not a restriction on who the clothing is for.

DAWM is intended for a broad audience and should be understood primarily as a contemporary clothing house, not as religious merchandise, faith-exclusive apparel, or a religion-specific clothing category.

DAWM should also not be reduced to generic streetwear. Product, language and visual identity are treated as parts of one continuing house system.
